My friend was craving for #48 soup style. So we drove 2 hours to eat the noodles and it was worth the drive! We got a small bowl of hu tieu broth style. The bowl was filled with meat and xxl shrimps! The broth was flavorful. The service was fast. We went around 1 pm on a Saturday. It wasn't too busy around that time. The restaurant had about 15 tables I believe. I would recommend this place if you want a good bowl of noodles.

Just talked to the original Da Lat in SJ, was told that this Da Lat location in Milpitas was damaged by fire a week or so ago and is closed indefinitely. So sad!

Done some take-out from this restaurant as well as dine-in. I've enjoyed their egg noodle soup with shrimp, their fried chicken with red rice, their Ban Xeo, Cha Gio (fried egg rolls), among a few other dishes. Wait staff are friendly. Their prices are reasonable. There's usually a good amount of seating. This is an older restaurant that's been around for some time. Not the best parking area..a little sketchy looking, especially at night. Location is near Ocean Supermarket.

My coworkers and I came in for lunch at DaLat Milpitas. DaLat has 2 locations with the original located in Downtown SJ. They are known for their specialty dish, the Hu Tieu noodle bowl. I've enjoyed both locations, and this visit, the DaLat Milpitas food and service was excellent. I ordered the Wonton Soup and an order of the Siu Mai to try and stick with low carb (I ditched most of the wonton wrapping). The Wonton Soup surprisingly came with a large portion of pork and shrimp too, and the Siu Mai was gigantic! So much flavor. I will be looking forward to the next visit to DaLat. Highly recommended.

Dalat opens where Pho Hoang Van once was. Similar seating arrangement inside. Minimal decor. Seated, given a menu promptly upon entry. Offerings: appetizers, noodle soups, rice dishes, pho, drinks, desserts. Very short menu. Eats: Hu Tieu Nam Vang (Cambodian rice noodle 13.95) -basically a Chinese soup made Cambodian style. -rich broth made from the proteins within along with native herbs & spices, green onions. Lots of noodles.. -chicken, beef & liver pieces bland tasting, flavors absorbed into soup. Shrimp & squid tender, slight flava. -toppings of lemon wedge, bean sprouts, jalepeno slices, celery, cilantro... 4.5 stars big, fulfilling meal... Leftovers: -didn't see Banh Xeo under appetizers, another option. -cash only? Large parking lot -no sriracha, chili sauce from Vietnam instead..

I have been missing the dry pho spot in SF Larkin street since they closed down so I had to find an alternative to satisfy my cravings. This spot is located in a plaza with ample parking spots, and we found one right in front of the restaurant. We came at 12:30pm on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded at all. We got seated right away and discovered their menu specialized in dry noodles -- jackpot! I went with #45, the rice noodles with crab (though they were out today), shrimp, and meats with soup on the side. All these dry dishes have the option of being soup noodles if that's what you're in the mood for. The sauce was good and there's lots of toppings which made the dish awesome. They steam the bean sprouts and veggies you can add on top of your order, too. My husband got the egg noodle one just to try a different option -- I still like the rice noodle more but it was also very good! Service is fast and we paid with cash for a discount. Will be back :)

This is not your known type of Vietnamese noodle's restaurant. They serve south Asian cuisine with mainly noodles and rice plates. Here , you'll find a no-nonsense simple decor. The food quality is amazing and the soup in the noodle is really tasty. They serve yellow noodles or Vietnamese rice noodles with options of soup inside or on the side. Here the ingredients are top notch with large tasty prawns, and relatively expensive type of vegetables in addition to the regular bean sprouts. Their seafood combo is my favorite since it included a crab claw. Now, it's MIA(missing) in their seafood combo noodles soup since about 2 years ago. There are other very authentic noodle soup with some internal organs that may not be appetizing for the general public. But, I love it because this is the only place where they included pig heart, if you're in this kind of stuff. I've been a frequent flyer (diner) since they opened this 2nd shop about 3 years ago. Their original (1st) shop is in San Jose. Definitely worth a visit for their noodles! It's not your typical Pho!!!

I was craving banh xeo today and my family and I totally took a chance on this place - I had no idea what to expect, didn't even look it up on Yelp. Fortunately, this restaurant met expectations!! My mom also agrees that this would be rated 4 stars :) We ordered the banh xeo and mi da lat dac viet. The banh xeo was as crunchy as I hoped and fulfilled my craving. It did come w squid which I'm not personally a fan of and that wasn't listed in the description on the menu. My mom ordered the noodles with soup on the side and she enjoyed it! Personally I felt like it lacked flavor/sauce so I'd opt for noodle soups at other restaurants. It seems like the banh xeo is a popular choice as I saw other customers order the same dish. Also, the banh xeo was HUGE and I left feeling soo full but it was a bit pricy at $13.95. Would recommend trying it out though!

Rating them based on my order of egg noodle wonton soup. I've been cold all day and technically ate dessert for dinner earlier (shhh) so nothing sounded better than some hot soup. Wonton soup has been on my mind for weeks. I drove a bit out of my way to try it here. Not sure I understand the other low reviews but the broth was so full of flavor and not overly salty. The broth balanced out everything well. No need to add any extra condiments to it. I literally ordered number 41 and it was described as just wonton noodle soup. Imagine my surprise when I saw this bowl in front of me. Plenty of wontons, thin slices of pork, and generously sized shrimp. Not to mention the chives and crunchy shallot bits as a garnish. Definitely coming back again!
